剛剛信箱裡收到了Washington Post的即時重大新聞

(已更新為33人死亡, 30人受傷)
今天上午在Virginia Tech校園發生的槍擊事件導致33人死亡, 至少30人受傷
槍手已死亡, 身份待確認(更新 : 為23歲南韓人)
這起校園事故成為美國歷史上死亡人數最多的槍擊案件
在平靜的星期一午後看到這則新聞令我當下有些反應不過來
也讓我想起了一個爭議很久的問題 -
該不該開放人民擁有槍枝?
雖然我自己很熱愛軍事相關的領域
但我並不贊成讓一般人可以購買/持有具殺傷力的槍械
因為武器本身無辜
但人心不可測
自由應該被保障
前提是必須小心翼翼維護

但是內部零件不相同(難怪北美版本規格縮水許多)
所以得由日本調零件(預計維修時間4-6周)
筆電在我的日常工作中扮演著不可或缺的角色
由於我所有的資料檔案均已數位化
於是尋找筆電送修時的替代機成了我的當下之急
手邊正好有一台原先預備作檔案伺服器的Mac mini
於是昨天花了些時間安裝必要的程式
1. Firefox 2 + Google Browser Sync for Firefox (自動與我存在網路上的瀏覽器書籤. cookies. 密碼. 歷史記錄等資料同步) - 花幾分鐘異地重建熟悉的環境
2. FolderShare - 安裝衛星程式後, 便可透過網路全自動即時同步不同裝置間的資料夾
3. Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional - 必備作業工具
4. NeoOffice - 辦公室文書軟體
5. Adium - 蘋果人所熟悉的鴨子, 統合各家IM的通訊軟體
6. Google Notifier for Mac - 自動檢查我的Gmail跟Google Calendar訊息
以上, 至此已大致建構起作業環境
接下來把放著資料的外接硬碟接上

以"輸入裝置"的角度來看, 這玩意還真是好用

以及能"貼心提醒你"的震動功能
